Naval chief urges strategy shift amid changing warfare

Pakistan Navy War College’s 54th convocation ceremony was held in Lahore, GTV News reported on Friday.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest of the ceremony.

In this regard, degrees were conferred on 118 officers at the ceremony.

The graduating officers also include 44 officers from friendly countries.

Naval chief stresses need to understand changing nature of warfare and new threats to maritime security.

The naval chief said that the recent tensions between Pakistan and India are clear evidence of the changing nature of war.

He further added that the role of non-state actors and unconventional warfare requires a change in conventional military strategies.

At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest distributed degrees to the successful graduates.

Furthermore, the ceremony was attended by senior military officials, civil dignitaries, and families of the course members.
