23 May, 2025 23:14

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to discuss key national issues, including political stability, economic recovery, and foreign policy.

The meeting, held in Islamabad, focused on the country’s internal security, foreign relations—especially with India—and ongoing economic challenges. The leaders discussed ways to improve political cooperation amid a complex post-election environment and growing public concerns.

Bilawal shared recent insights from the Foreign Ministry on Pakistan-India relations and suggested strategies for managing rising tensions. The two leaders reviewed recent developments and agreed on maintaining open diplomatic channels while protecting national interests.

They also addressed Pakistan’s economic crisis, with inflation, energy shortages, and fiscal concerns topping the agenda. Both sides stressed the need for urgent reforms and a united political front to boost investor confidence and stabilize the economy.

Analysts view the meeting as a sign of increasing cooperation between major political players. It highlights a shared commitment to national unity and strategic dialogue during uncertain times.

Shehbaz and Bilawal are expected to continue talks in the coming weeks, especially on regional security and foreign affairs. Their partnership could play a key role in shaping Pakistan’s future policies.
