Pakistan, SA reaffirm strong ties in high-level phone call

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held a phone conversation to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss key regional developments.

The two leaders reviewed progress in areas such as trade, investment, energy, security, and cultural exchange, and expressed satisfaction over the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They pledged to further deepen ties and continue working closely on mutual interests.

A major part of the conversation focused on recent regional tensions. The ministers discussed the false flag operation in Pahalgam and Pakistan’s response through Operation Bunyān Mursūs. Both acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s key role in easing tensions between Pakistan and India, particularly through diplomatic efforts led by Saudi Minister of State Adel al-Jubeir.

Saudi Arabia’s mediation efforts were praised by Islamabad and seen as a reflection of the Kingdom’s support for regional peace and its strong relationship with Pakistan.

The foreign ministers also agreed to maintain regular contact and coordinate on regional and global issues, including counterterrorism, security, and economic cooperation.

Ishaq Dar thanked Saudi Arabia for its continued political and economic support, and for backing Pakistan at international forums.

Looking ahead, both countries plan to expand joint projects in infrastructure, energy, and cultural exchange. This includes new Saudi investments in Pakistan and increased collaboration in education and religious outreach.
