PTI members indicted over Jinnah House attack

The Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) indicted 254 Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers in the Jinnah House attack case.

The Jinnah House attack case was heard in the Anti-Terrorism Court Lahore. Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Manzar Ali Gul conducted the hearing in Kot Lakhpat Jail.

The court indicted Alia Hamza, Rubina Jamil, Khadija Shah, Ijaz Chaudhry, Omar Sarfaraz Cheema, and Mahmood-ul-Rasheed, among others.

The accused have denied the crime. Two of the accused in the Jinnah House attack have died, while 10 accused in the case have been declared proclaimed offenders.

On the other hand, Lahore The National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has closed Sialkot Motorway due to a severe storm.

The spokesperson said that motorways were closed to ensure public safety and safe travel as heavy rain put the entire region in a dangerous situation.

The NH&MP spokesperson further added that motorways M2 and 3 reopened to traffic due to improved visibility.

On the other hand, widespread rain and hailstorms hit upper Pakistan and several cities in Punjab on Saturday, providing relief from a severe heatwave but causing disruptions and damage.
