House Fire in London Takes Lives of Four Members of Pakistani-Origin Family
LONDON: A tragic house fire in Brent, northwest London, has claimed the lives of four members of a British family of Pakistani descent, according to reports from UK media.
Emergency services responded to the blaze at a residential address on Tillett Close in the Stonebridge area at approximately 1:22am on Saturday. Upon arrival, they found the home engulfed in flames.
A 43-year-old woman, a 15-year-old girl, an eight-year-old boy, and a four-year-old boy were all declared dead at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, with the incident being treated as a potential case of arson. Investigations are ongoing, and no further information about the suspect has been made public at this time.
Two other individuals — a 70-year-old woman and a young girl — were rescued from the burning property and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
The police have notified the victims’ next of kin and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
The family, originally from Pakistan, had reportedly settled in the UK nearly 20 years ago. The London house fire incident has left the local community in shock, as authorities work to uncover the circumstances behind this heartbreaking loss.
