Pakistan, Turkiye vow to further strengthen longstanding and multi-dimensional partnership

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding and multi-dimensional partnership between Pakistan and Turkiye.
During an official visit to Turkiye, Prime Minister Shehbaz held a warm and cordial meeting with President Erdogan, where both leaders vowed to enhance collaboration for regional peace, sustainable development, and the shared prosperity of their nations.
The meeting highlighted the deep-rooted, historic, and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkiye — built on common values, mutual respect, and a shared vision for progress.
Delegation-level talks were held in Istanbul on May 25, 2025, with prominent figures in attendance, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatimi.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed sincere appreciation to the government and people of Turkiye for their consistent support to Pakistan during recent regional developments. He praised Turkiye’s principled position and the goodwill shown by the Turkish people, describing it as a source of immense strength and reassurance for the Pakistani nation.
