Army Chief Asim Munir meet with Vice Chancellors and senior teachers
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), held an important meeting with vice chancellors, principals, and senior professors from various universities across the country. During the discussion, he highlighted the importance of teachers and their vital role in shaping Pakistan’s future.
The COAS called teachers “Pakistan’s greatest asset” and said, “Whatever I am today is because of my parents and teachers.” He stressed that the character-building of the next generations is the key responsibility of teachers.
“You are the ones who must tell Pakistan’s true story to the next generation,” he added.
While speaking about national security, Gen. Asim Munir said that Pakistan has been supported by Allah in the battle of truth, and the unity shown by the nation proved that no power in the world can defeat a country when its people stand as one.
He made it clear that Kashmir is not up for any deal, and Pakistan will never forget Kashmir. “India must know that Pakistan will never abandon Kashmir,” he stated firmly.
He also said that water is a red line for Pakistan, and the right of 240 million Pakistanis over it will not be compromised. Pakistan, he added, will never accept Indian dominance.
Speaking about terrorism, the COAS stated that the real source of terrorism in India is the rising oppression and bias against minorities, especially Muslims, while Kashmir remains an international issue. He also said that terrorists in Balochistan are planted by India and have no link with the local Baloch people.
Gen. Asim Munir shared his vision of a strong Pakistan where all institutions work under the law and constitution, without political, personal, or financial pressure, for the benefit of the people.
He urged the public to reject any narrative that weakens the state, saying, “This safe land is protected by the men in uniform.”
During the question-and-answer session, the participants expressed their full support for the armed forces. “We are proud of Pakistan and our military and will always stand beside them,” they said.
