Two dead, six injured in Quetta blast

Earlier, an explosion occurred near the Nawan Kali area of Quetta, resulting in the death of two people and the injury of six others.
According to the police, the explosion took place in the Sarrah Ghargai area of Nawankli. The nature of the explosion was not immediately known.
Law enforcement and rescue officials have reached the scene of the explosion.
Meanwhile, a Levies officer was killed in firing in Sui Bazaar in Naseerabad.
On May 28, 2025, five terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy group Fitna al Hindustan were neutralized in two separate encounters across Balochistan, according to security sources.
An intelligence-based operation was launched in the Loralai District following credible reports regarding the presence of Fitna al Hindustan operatives. “During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, four Indian sponsored terrorists were successfully neutralized.” Authorities also confirmed that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site.
The eliminated militants were said to have been involved in several deadly attacks, including two major incidents on National Highway N-70 near Rarasham on August 26, 2024, and February 18, 2025. “The killed Indian sponsored terrorists were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities, including heinous acts of terrorism on N-70 near Rarasham on 26 August 2024 and 18 February 2025, that resulted in martyrdom of thirty innocent civilians.”
