Pakistan Denounces Indian Leaders' Remarks, Calls it Indicative of Dangerous Mindset
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly denounced recent remarks by Indian leaders, including those in Bihar, calling them indicative of a troubling mindset that favors confrontation over peaceful resolution.
Responding to media questions, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan rejected attempts to blame Pakistan for regional instability, stating such claims are disconnected from the facts. He emphasized that the international community is fully aware of India’s aggressive posture and its documented involvement in terrorist activities within Pakistan—realities that cannot be masked by misleading narratives or diversionary rhetoric.
Khan reiterated that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remains the central issue threatening peace and stability in South Asia. He affirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a fair and lasting resolution of the Kashmir conflict, in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions and the will of the Kashmiri people.
He warned that ignoring this core issue only perpetuates distrust and risks further confrontation. Recent developments, he noted, have again shown that jingoism and coercion are futile. He stressed that India cannot achieve its goals through threats, distortion of facts, or the use of force.
Khan reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to peace and constructive dialogue but also emphasized the country’s resolve to safeguard its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of any aggression.
He concluded by stating that lasting peace in South Asia requires maturity, restraint, and a genuine willingness to address the underlying causes of conflict, rather than pursuing short-term political advantages at the cost of regional stability.
