PMD predicts extreme heat in Karachi ahead of Eid ul Adha

02 June, 2025 23:28

As Eid ul Adha 2025 approaches, Karachi is battling a scorching heatwave. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast extreme temperatures for the first week of June, urging citizens to take precautions during Qurbani and Eid celebrations.

PMD Forecast: Karachi to Hit 41°C Ahead of Eid

The PMD predicts temperatures in Karachi will range from 35°C to 41°C between June 1 and June 7, with the hottest day expected on June 1. A strong high-pressure system is driving this spike, causing 3–5°C higher-than-normal temperatures for this time of year.

No rain is expected, and the air will remain dry and polluted, adding to the health risks.

Karachi Eid ul Adha 2025 Weather Breakdown

Here’s a quick look at Karachi’s day-by-day weather for the Eid week:

  • June 1 (Sunday): 41°C, hazy, unhealthy air quality

  • June 2 (Monday): 37°C, breezy, slightly less humid

  • June 3–5: 35–36°C, persistently hot, hazy skies

  • June 6–7 (Eid Days): 36°C, dry and hot, no rainfall
