Businessman Salman Farooqi Booked for Assaulting Motorcyclist in Karachi DHA

Businessman Salman Farooqi has been booked in a criminal case after a video surfaced online showing him violently assaulting a motorcyclist in Karachi’s DHA area.

The video quickly went viral across social media platforms, sparking outrage. It shows Farooqi physically attacking the young biker in front of women, believed to be the biker’s sister and family.

Complaint Filed at Gizri Police Station

According to police, a case was registered at Gizri Police Station. The complaint was filed by an eyewitness, Muhammad Saleem, who said he saw the entire incident happen.

Saleem works as a sales manager for a mobile company. He said he had gone to Ittehad Commercial in DHA for a work task when he witnessed a minor road accident involving the motorcyclist and Salman Farooqi’s car.

Following the accident, Farooqi allegedly got out of his car and started beating the motorcyclist. Saleem claimed that Farooqi, along with his armed security guard, held the biker at gunpoint, forced him into a car, and beat him.

Women Pleaded, But Were Shoved

The victim was not alone. He was accompanied by two women, believed to be family members. Eyewitnesses said they begged Farooqi to stop, but he pushed them aside and continued the attack.

Saleem said that other people in the area saw the attack and started filming it. The videos were later shared widely on social media.

Police Launching Search for Victim and Suspect

Police are now searching for the victim and his family to record their statements and help with the case. Officers said multiple raids are underway to arrest Salman Farooqi.

He faces serious charges, including:

• Physical assault

• Death threats

• Public humiliation

• Illegal confinement

Authorities have assured the public that justice will be served and no one will be allowed to abuse their influence.
