Bailable arrest warrants issued for Fawad Chaudhry in land case

Fawad Chaudhry bailable arrest warrants
An Anti-Corruption Court in Rawalpindi has issued bailable arrest warrants for former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry in a land acquisition case.
The court, led by Judge Khawar Rashid, asked authorities to bring Fawad Chaudhry to court by June 30. The case was filed by the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).
According to the FIR registered in April, Fawad Chaudhry is accused of misusing his position to help illegally transfer public land to a private housing society located on GT Road in Dina, Jhelum.
Fawad Chaudhry was once a senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He left the party in May 2023, but has stayed active in political discussions and is still informally linked to PTI.
Earlier, the PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen once again criticized former minister Fawad Chaudhry, saying that Fawad Chaudhry is a tout who is creating division in the party.
Speaking to the media in London, Shoaib Shaheen alleged that Faisal Chaudhry was expelled from the party by the PTI founder for lying.
Shoaib Shaheen said that those who are disrupting the party’s internal affairs must be exposed, adding that the PTI founder does not compromise on principles.
In response to a question, Shoaib Shaheen said that 20 FIRs of murder, robbery, and terrorism have been registered against him.
It should be noted that Shoaib Shaheen and Fawad Chaudhry have previously made serious allegations against each other, while incidents of scuffles between the two leaders have also been reported.
