PM Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Saudi Arabia for two-day visit
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Jeddah for a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.
On arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Jeddah Governor Prince Saud bin Abdullah and other senior officials. After landing, the prime minister and his delegation traveled to Makkah to perform Umrah.
The visit is taking place on June 5 and 6 and will include the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha in the Kingdom. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, a high-level Pakistani delegation is accompanying him to strengthen the friendly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During his stay, PM Shehbaz will meet Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman on Eid day, where he will offer Eid greetings. The two leaders are expected to discuss ways to boost cooperation in trade, investment, and strategic partnerships.
They will also talk about issues concerning the Muslim world, regional peace, and security, especially after recent tensions in South Asia. A key point of the visit will be the prime minister’s appreciation of Saudi Arabia’s role in easing tensions between Pakistan and India.
This visit reflects the strong and growing friendship between the two countries.
