PM Shehbaz Sharif Embarks on Two-Day Visit to Saudi Arabia for High-Level Talks

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed for Jeddah on Thursday for a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, following an invitation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

A high-level delegation is accompanying the Prime Minister, who is scheduled to hold a special meeting with the Crown Prince on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

In a statement, the Foreign Office said discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in key sectors such as trade, investment, regional stability, and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

The Prime Minister will also thank the Saudi leadership for its role in helping to reduce recent tensions between Pakistan and India.

The visit of Shehbaz Sharif to Saudi Arabia highlights the strong and longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which is rooted in shared religious values, mutual trust, and strategic cooperation, the statement added.

It further noted that the trip reflects the commitment of both countries to deepening economic and diplomatic ties, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s national development agenda.

According to the Foreign Office, the visit is expected to strengthen bilateral relations and create new opportunities for collaboration across various sectors.
