PM Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir Perform Umrah

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir, along with their delegation, performed Umrah during their visit to Saudi Arabia.

In a special gesture, the door of the Holy Kaaba was opened exclusively for the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal.

During the pilgrimage, special prayers were made for the people of Gaza, the unity of the Muslim Ummah, and for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan.

The prime minister is in the Kingdom at the invitation of Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman. He is leading a high-level delegation and will hold an important meeting with the Crown Prince on Eid-ul-Adha.

According to the Foreign Office, the visit aims to strengthen cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, especially in trade, investment, and matters concerning the Muslim world and regional peace.

PM Shehbaz is also expected to thank the Saudi leadership for its helpful role in reducing recent tensions between Pakistan and India.

This visit highlights the strong and growing friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
