PPP leader demands 50% salary, pension hike in budget

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed has demanded at least a 50 percent increase in the salaries and pensions of government employees in the budget.

While holding a press conference in Islamabad, PPP leader Chaudhry Manzoor Ahmed said that the minimum monthly wage of laborers should be set at Rs. 50,000.

Chaudhry Manzoor demanded a 100 percent increase in EOBI (Employees Old Age Benefits Institution) pension and emphasized the provision of medical facilities for retired industrial employees.

The PP leader also strongly opposed the policy of privatization of government institutions and demanded its immediate halt.
