PM praises record $34.9 billion remittances in FY 2025

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the increase in remittances during May 2025, saying that the record increase in remittances is evidence of the trust of overseas Pakistanis in the government.

In his statement, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that 34.9 billion US dollars were received in remittances in the current fiscal year, which is 28.8% more than the previous fiscal year.

The Prime Minister said that 3.7 billion US dollars were received in remittances during May 2025, an increase of 13.7% compared to May last year.

Shahbaz Sharif further said that the government’s economic measures and the people-friendly budget for the next fiscal year are a sign of the country’s bright future.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also paid tribute to the government’s economic team for receiving record remittances.
