NADRA advises married individuals to update their marital status

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has advised all citizens to update their marital status in its records after receiving a computerized marriage certificate from the Union Council.

This update is important because it helps NADRA maintain a correct family record in its national database.

NADRA explained that keeping marital status updated can prevent future problems—especially when applying for your children’s B-Forms or CNICs. It also makes sure your passport and other official documents show the right information.

In addition, if your marital status is not updated, you may face issues while applying for important documents like the Family Registration Certificate (FRC) or the Succession Certificate, which are often needed in legal matters.

People can easily update their status by visiting the nearest NADRA office. For more convenience, you can also use the Pak-ID mobile app to update your information from home.
