Pakistan Strongly Condemns Unjustified, Illegitimate Aggression by Israel Against Iran

Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned “unjustified and illegitimate aggression” by Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, following recent military strikes that have heightened tensions in the region.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Israeli attacks constitute a clear violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It emphasized that the actions contravene the United Nations Charter and the foundational principles of international law.

“Iran has the right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter,” the statement noted, reiterating Pakistan’s position on the legality of Iran’s right to respond to external military aggression.

Pakistan expressed firm solidarity with the Iranian people and unequivocally condemned what it termed “blatant provocations” by Israel. The statement warned that such actions pose a grave threat to regional and global peace, security, and stability.

Pakistan also called on the international community and the United Nations to take immediate action to halt the hostilities. It urged that the aggressor be held accountable for violating international norms and threatening collective peace.

“The international community and the United Nations bear responsibility to uphold international law, stop this aggression immediately, and hold the aggressor accountable for its actions,” the statement concluded.
