Bilawal Backs Dialogue Over War in Iran-Israel Crisis, Warns India
Iran-Israel Crisis
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has warned that Indiaβs refusal to hold dialogue could increase tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
Speaking at a press conference in Brussels, he stressed that a ceasefire is not the same as peace, and that real peace can only come through continuous dialogue.
βIndia keeps avoiding talks. Without communication, tensions will rise,β Bilawal said.
He added that Pakistan has always supported meaningful negotiations, but India has not shown willingness to engage. He also mentioned Pakistanβs offer to help investigate the recent Pahalgam incident in Kashmir through a neutral inquiry β which India rejected.
Bilawal also criticized Indian threats to block river waters to Pakistan, calling them dangerous and provocative.
βThis kind of rhetoric pushes the region toward disaster. A third world war is not an option,β he warned.
Bilawal also spoke about the growing military conflict between Iran and Israel. He expressed concern over recent attacks and counterattacks, which have killed senior Iranian officials and civilians.
βThe world cannot stay silent. A full war between Iran and Israel would shake global peace,β he said.
He urged the international community to step in and promote peace through dialogue, not war.
Bilawalβs comments came as part of Pakistanβs wider diplomatic efforts, with recent visits to New York, Washington, and London aimed at promoting peace and preventing new conflicts.
