BISP starts new payment system from June 16, 2025

The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) is starting a new payment system from June 16, 2025, to make it easier for women to collect their money. Now, instead of waiting in long lines at banks or campsites, registered women can receive their payments from nearby retail shops and agents.

What Is the New Retail Payment Model?

Under this system, BISP beneficiaries can:

• Collect money from authorized shops or retailers, not just banks

• Use biometric verification (thumb impression) for security

• Get faster service without long queues

Where Will It Start?

• Start Date: June 16, 2025

• First Phase: Big cities and selected districts

• Later, it will spread to other areas across Pakistan in steps

You can check your payment status by:

• Sending your CNIC number to 8171 via SMS

• Visiting the 8171 web portal

• Waiting for the official confirmation SMS

• Calling the BISP helpline or visiting a local office

What to Bring to Collect Payment

• Your original Computerized CNIC

• (Optional) SIM card registered in your name

• You must go in person – biometric verification is required
