Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), commended the role of overseas Pakistanis as ambassadors of Pakistan.
During an official visit to the US, the COAS held an interaction with the overseas Pakistani community in Washington, DC, where he was warmly welcomed by a large gathering of expatriates.
The diaspora expressed strong appreciation for the Armed Forces’ exemplary performance during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos / Marka-e-Haq, highlighting the bravery and professionalism displayed by the military.
During the engagement, the COAS commended the overseas Pakistanis for their significant role as ambassadors of Pakistan, acknowledging their vital contributions to the country’s economy and global reputation through remittances, investments, and achievements across various fields.
The overseas community shared their experiences and suggestions with the Army Chief, who underscored the importance of sustained engagement and cooperation to tackle common challenges and promote collaboration.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment between the COAS and overseas Pakistanis to work collectively towards a secure, prosperous, and resilient Pakistan.
