Saudi Arabia visit visa reopening update in Pakistan

20 June, 2025 18:59

Many families and individuals in Pakistan are still waiting for Saudi Arabia to reopen its multiple-entry visit visa, which has been on hold for months.

This visa allows people to travel to Saudi Arabia several times within one year, with a stay of up to 90 days per visit. It is commonly used for tourism, business trips, and visiting family members.

Back in February 2025, Saudi Arabia temporarily suspended the issuance of these visas for citizens of 14 countries, including Pakistan, due to the Hajj season. Other countries affected include India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and several others.

Saudi authorities explained that the suspension was meant to control overcrowding during Hajj and address security issues.

Many people had used these visas to perform Hajj without permission or stay beyond the allowed time. Some were also found working illegally, which violated the terms of their visa and added pressure on Saudi Arabia’s job market.

People who recently visited the Etimad Centre in Lahore for their scheduled biometric appointments were informed by staff that multiple-entry visas are still not being issued. However, there is hope that these visas may reopen after June 21 or 23, though no official announcement has been made yet.

Many families are anxiously waiting for an update, especially those planning to visit loved ones or travel for business. Until then, applicants are advised to stay informed through official Saudi visa centers and authorized travel agents.
