Pakistan Appeals for Restraint, Emphasizes Diplomacy for Solving Regional Tensions

Islamabad: Pakistan has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating regional security situation and tensions, urging diplomacy as a key resolution for conflicts.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the spokesperson highlighted the recent attack on the US Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar as a significant contributor to escalating regional tensions.

The spokesperson strongly condemned violations of regional sovereignty and territorial integrity and emphasized the importance of adhering to the fundamental principles of international law.

Calling for calm, the Foreign Office urged all parties to exercise restraint and patience. It reiterated Pakistan’s consistent stance that dialogue and diplomacy are essential for the resolution of conflicts.

The spokesperson further stressed the urgent need for immediate steps to de-escalate the situation.
