India-Pakistan Defense Ministers May Meet at SCO Summit

Beijing: The first meeting between the defense ministers of the two countries after the Indo-Pak war is likely.

According to Turkish media, a possible meeting between the defense ministers of Pakistan and India is likely to take place during the two-day SCO summit starting Wednesday in China.

The Pakistani delegation to the SCO will be led by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who has arrived in China, while Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will also attend the meeting along with a high-level delegation, where Rajnath Singh will also meet the defense ministers of China, Russia, and other countries.

On the other hand, sources say that no meeting is scheduled between Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

According to Turkish media, the SCO meeting will discuss regional and global security, counter-terrorism cooperation, and military ties.
