Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) made a significant diplomatic move. Both countries agreed to remove visa requirements for holders of official and diplomatic passports. This decision was announced during the 12th session of the Pakistan-UAE Ministerial Commission.

At the meeting, the two nations signed three important Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs). These agreements aim to boost cooperation in many areas like trade, investment, banking, healthcare, education, and energy.

A spokesperson from Pakistan’s Foreign Office said that the countries will form a joint task force. This task force will help make visa processes easier and promote investment opportunities between the two nations.

The visa waiver agreement is a key achievement of this session. It shows the strong and friendly ties between Pakistan and the UAE.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who spoke at the event, called the meeting “highly productive and forward-looking.” He pointed out that this was the first meeting in 12 years. Dar said the agreements show a shared commitment to deepen cooperation and strengthen relations.

Another important development was the signing of an agreement on artificial intelligence (AI) and the digital economy. This deal is expected to create new opportunities for economic growth and collaboration between the two countries.

This diplomatic progress highlights the trust and strategic partnership between Pakistan and the UAE. It also reflects a joint vision for regional peace, investment growth, and technology advancement.
