Sindh Police Launches First Driving Training School in Karachi

Sindh police establish driving training school
In a big step toward promoting road safety, the Sindh Police has opened its first driving training school in Karachi. The school is located at the Police Training College in Saeedabad, where citizens can now receive professional training in driving cars, motorcycles, and light and heavy vehicles.
The training center is designed not just for police officers but for general public use, helping promote safe and responsible driving habits.
IG Ghulam Nabi Memon Reviews Facilities
Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon, visited the center on Tuesday to inspect its facilities. He called this project a “pilot initiative” and revealed that more schools will be launched soon in Hyderabad, Larkana, and Khairpur.
Speaking to reporters, IG Memon said, “Our aim is to make roads safer for everyone. Trained drivers are key to reducing traffic accidents.”
He stressed the importance of driver education and added that road safety will continue to be a top priority for Sindh Police.
Training for All Vehicle Types
At the Saeedabad school, students will receive hands-on training for driving motorcycles, cars, vans, and heavy transport vehicles. The school is equipped with modern vehicles and expert instructors to guide learners step-by-step.
A New Chapter in Public Safety
This initiative is expected to reduce road accidents, improve driving standards, and create more licensed drivers in Sindh. It also encourages young people and women to gain confidence behind the wheel.
