Iranian Military Chief Lauds Pakistan’s Brave Support

The Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has thanked Pakistan for standing with Iran during its recent conflict with Israel. In a phone call with Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir on Sunday, he praised the Pakistani government and people for their bold and courageous support.
Major General Mousavi condemned the United States for backing Israel in what he described as a “cruel and terrorist” war. He noted that the U.S., along with other Western countries, gave full support—both verbal and military—to Israel during the attacks.
He said that despite the damage and the loss of top Iranian commanders at the start of the war, Iran was able to frustrate the enemy’s plans and force Israel to agree to a ceasefire.
Israel launched a 12-day offensive on June 13, targeting Iran’s military, nuclear, and residential sites. On June 22, the U.S. also attacked three of Iran’s nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.
In response, Iran launched major counterattacks. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) conducted 22 waves of missile strikes on Israeli cities as part of “Operation True Promise III.” Iran also targeted the U.S. military base at al-Udeid in Qatar with missile strikes.
The conflict ended with a ceasefire that took effect on June 24.
