Rescue Efforts in Swat Tragedy
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that rescuers came empty-handed to save people who were swept away in the Swat River.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif visited the homes of those killed in the Swat tragedy in Daska and expressed condolences in a meeting with the families.
Speaking to the media, Khawaja Asif described the incident in the Swat River as a failure of rescue.
Khawaja Asif said that accidents come from Allah, but no steps were taken to prevent them. Rescuers came empty-handed to save people who were swept away in the Swat River.
Khawaja Asif said that there are no words to describe the Swat tragedy. The children were drowned in front of their mothers.
Khawaja Asif said that after the incident, the apocalypse struck the victim’s family, but it is not known whether the apocalypse has struck the government or not.
It should be remembered that 17 people drowned in the Swat River two days ago due to flooding, of whom 4 were rescued, and so far the bodies of 12 people have been recovered, but the search for one is still ongoing.
