Police Seize Imam Hussain (AS) Sabeel Items in Karachi, Governor Orders Action

Karachi – Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori strongly condemned the police action against an Imam Hussain (AS) sabeel set up at Federal Urdu University’s Abdul Haq Campus in Karachi.

The Governor called for a free, transparent, and impartial investigation into the incident and directed the concerned authorities to take strict action against any officers or personnel found responsible.

Kamran Tessori questioned under what law the police confiscated tables, chairs, and water drums from the religious stall. “The public has a constitutional right to express religious devotion peacefully. This act is unacceptable and must be held accountable,” he said.

He added that such actions hurt the religious sentiments of the community and can disturb social harmony. The Governor emphasized that no one would be allowed to stop citizens from expressing their love and respect for Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

He instructed authorities to ensure no future interference in peaceful religious practices and vowed to protect the rights of citizens to observe religious traditions respectfully.
