Petrol prices massive increase for July 2025 – check new rates

The Pakistani government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the first half of July 2025. This decision comes after a recommendation by OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) and related ministries.

According to the official notification, the new prices are:

• Petrol: Increased from Rs. 258.43 to Rs. 266.79 (an increase of Rs. 8.36)

• Diesel: Increased from Rs. 262.59 to Rs. 272.98 (an increase of Rs. 10.39)

These new prices are now in effect from July 1, 2025, and will last for the next 15 days.

The government had already raised fuel prices on June 16, when petrol went up by Rs. 4.80 and diesel by Rs. 7.95 per litre.

With this latest hike, many people are worried about more financial pressure. Fuel price increases usually affect transportation costs, product prices, and daily expenses. As inflation continues to impact households, this decision may cause more concern for citizens and economic experts alike.
