PPP Calls Charity Gift
Islamabad: A bitter exchange of words broke out between members of the (PML-N) and the PPP in the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior meeting.
During the meeting of the Standing Committee on Interior, Shazia Marri became angry over the alleged obstruction in presenting the CDA Amendment Bill and announced that she would bring a privilege motion against the CDA Chairman.
On this, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry defended the CDA Chairman and said that he would face Shazia Marri if she brought the privilege movement.
Shazia Marri responded by saying that Talal Chaudhry was threatening, to which the Minister of State said that Shazia Marri was threatening.
Later, PP leader Nabil Gabol walked out of the meeting in protest at the Minister of State’s behavior.
Nabil Gabol said that Talal Chaudhry has become arrogant due to the two-thirds majority the government has received in charity. The PPP had shown him by overthrowing the government before, and could still do this.
The committee chairman kept stopping Nabil Gabol from walking out, but despite this, he got up and left the meeting.
