Fazlur Rehman Calls for Change Within PTI in KP

12 July, 2025 18:26

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that my suggestion would be for change to come to the province, and if change does come, it should come from within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

While holding a press conference in Peshawar, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that our province cannot afford any political conflict.

He said that the party will make a decision regarding the province through consultation. My suggestion would be that there should be change in the province, and if there is change, it should come from within the PTI.

He said that he could not comment on the adjustments related to the Senate right now.

Fazlur Rehman said that the FATA merger was a wrong decision that all parties should accept. The grand jirga of the tribes will meet again tomorrow, and they will be consulted.

We have tried to make decisions in consultation with the elders of FATA before. Integration was not the goal. It was about the political future of the tribes. When the proposal for integration was made, we said no. Give the tribes the power. Consultation with tribal elders regarding FATA is inevitable.

He further said, How many Pashtuns are there in the committee formed for FATA, and how many members are from the province? The committee has asked for the name from JUI and has recognized us as a party. Our province’s money is only for taking privileges.

I consider the child who is oppressed in KP and Balochistan as my own child. It has been 8 years since a single patwari has been allowed to enter FATA. Who has held more million marches than Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam? They held a million-person march in Peshawar to raise the morale of the people.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that a politician goes to jail, but the movement is not just for release; the movements are for great purposes. There are differences with the PP, PML-N, and ANP, but there is no enmity. There is no enmity between the PTI and the JUI; a bitter time has passed between the two.

If the opposition talks about law and order, they will sit down and talk. All political parties should admit that they have no political vision. Sindh is ruled by bandits. Three provinces are in the grip of insecurity. The rulers are engrossed in their luxuries and are filling their pockets. The poor people are being affected by terrorism.
