Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Visits Bahrain to Boost Security Ties
Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Manama, the capital city of Bahrain, for an official one-day trip. The main purpose of the visit was to strengthen bilateral ties and improve cooperation in internal security matters.
Upon his arrival at Manama International Airport, Naqvi received a warm welcome from Bahraini Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa. A formal ceremony followed at the Bahraini Ministry of Interior where Naqvi was honored with a guard of honor, showing the close friendship between the two nations.
The two ministers held a high-level meeting where they discussed various important issues. The main areas of focus were internal security, counter-terrorism, anti-narcotics efforts, and fighting human trafficking.
Mohsin Naqvi called for stronger cooperation to fight drug smuggling and human trafficking networks. He said that international teamwork is needed to break down these cross-border threats. Naqvi also shared Pakistan’s plan to deepen security ties with Bahrain, especially in law enforcement and intelligence sharing.
General Sheikh Rashid praised Pakistan’s efforts for peace and security in the region. He said Bahrain values the ongoing cooperation between both countries and is ready to expand their partnership. He also welcomed the idea of working closely to tackle new security challenges.
Both sides agreed to launch joint training programs for police and security forces. They also planned to exchange best practices in crime prevention and develop a system for regular communication on security issues.
The visit ended on a positive note, with both countries showing a strong commitment to building a long-term strategic relationship based on mutual trust and respect.
