Bus Overturns Near Chakri, Five Dead, Eight Injured

A passenger bus traveling from Rawalpindi to Lahore overturned at Chakri, killing five passengers and injuring eight.

Police officials said that the passenger bus met with an accident due to high speed on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway.

According to rescue officials, 8 injured in the Chakri bus accident were shifted to PIMS Hospital in Islamabad.

It should be recalled that this morning, an accident also occurred in Hasilpur Tehsil of Bahawalpur, where five members of the same family were killed when a passenger coach hit a car.

In this regard, Rescue Control said that the accident occurred due to high speed on Hasilpur Chishtian Road. There were 8 members of the same family in the car, out of which 3 died on the spot while 2 died in the hospital.
