Addressing the trilateral conference in Tehran, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the holding of the trilateral conference in Tehran is welcome. The pilgrims in Iran and Iraq are most important to us. We fully support Iran in exercising its right to self-defense. We will continue to stand with Iran in the future. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other officials played their role.
He said that Pakistani pilgrims in Iran and Iraq are of great importance to us and their comfort and safety are our top priority.
Mohsin Naqvi thanked the governments of Iran and Iraq for organizing the conference and congratulated Iran on its recent great success.
He said that Pakistan has openly condemned the attack on Iran, and we fully support Iran’s right to self-defense.
He further said that the Pakistani people stood by the Iranian people in difficult times and will continue to stand by Iran in the future.
He further said that Ambassador Amiri of Iran is a witness to our efforts, Pakistan has raised its voice for Iran at every forum, Iraq is also assured of full cooperation, and the issue of pilgrims will be handled only through registered groups.
He said that the head of the pilgrims’ group will ensure that all pilgrims return and will not allow anyone to go to Iran or Iraq illegally. Pakistanis thank Iran and Iraq for taking care of the pilgrims.
Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with his Iranian counterpart in Tehran to discuss matters of mutual interest and Pak-Iran relations.
