Progress in Investigation of Actress Humaira Asghar’s Case

Karachi – The investigation into the tragic case of Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar has made significant progress, according to sources close to the inquiry.

Sources say that Humaira had been facing serious financial difficulties before her death. On October 7, she sent a WhatsApp message saying “Hello, I want to talk to you,” but received no response. Reports indicate she tried contacting at least 10 people, including her brother, shortly before the incident.

So far, statements from five individuals have been recorded, and authorities plan to question a total of 63 people connected to the case. Investigators found a dry bathtub, torn clothes, and cigarette filters at the scene. However, no medication was recovered from her room. Her housemaid had reportedly been dismissed a few days earlier.

A gym trainer told investigators that Humaira used to exercise for three hours daily. Her mobile phone data and call records are also under review as part of the investigation.

A special team has expanded the scope of the inquiry, aiming to uncover the full circumstances leading up to her death.
