Ali Amin Gandapur Fails to Convince Disgruntled Leaders

18 July, 2025 19:23

Negotiations between Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and disgruntled leaders regarding the Senate elections in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have failed.

Sources claim that Chief Minister Gandapur was unable to persuade the dissatisfied leaders, who have decided to maintain their stance and not withdraw from the Senate elections.

The disgruntled candidates include Irfan Saleem, Ayesha Bano, Irshad Hussain, and Waqas Orakzai.

Sources further revealed that Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja facilitated the meeting between the disgruntled leaders and the Chief Minister.

Following the failed negotiations, a second meeting between the angry leaders and Ali Amin Gandapur is scheduled to take place at 9 PM.

During the initial meeting, the disgruntled leaders firmly stated that they would not withdraw their nomination papers under any circumstances.

Earlier, an important breakthrough was reported last night between the government and the opposition regarding uncontested Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
