PTI Warns Disgruntled Candidates to Withdraw or Face Action

Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to contest against the opposition if the disgruntled candidates do not withdraw.
In the event of a contest with the opposition, the 6-5 seat agreement between the government and the opposition will end.
Disgruntled candidates have been instructed to withdraw their nomination papers before Sunday. If the disgruntled PTI candidates do not withdraw, action is likely to be taken against them.
Two meetings were held to appease the disgruntled PTI candidates. When the disgruntled candidates refused to withdraw their nomination papers, the matter was referred to the Political Committee.
In this regard, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has said that the first meeting was attended by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the candidates, the second meeting was held via video call in which the disgruntled candidates did not attend, after which the matter was handed over to the political party, which ratified the decision of the parliamentary party.
He said that the committee has also endorsed the decision to take 6 seats for the nominated candidates of the founding PTI and the decision to hold the Senate election unopposed.
The PTI chairman said that he hopes the remaining Senate candidates will respect the decision of the Political Committee, while if they do not withdraw their papers, they will decide again what to do with the candidates.
Regarding this, Senate candidate Irfan Saleem said that he will consult with the workers on the decision of the Political Committee to withdraw the papers, after which he will take a decision.
