In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, four out of five disgruntled candidates from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have decided not to participate in the Senate elections.
According to details, the disgruntled PTI candidates Irfan Saleem, Ayesha Bano, Irshad Hussain, and Waqas Orakzai have withdrawn from the Senate elections.
Sources revealed that the disgruntled PTI Senate candidate Khurram Zeeshan has refused to withdraw from the election.
It is worth noting that yesterday, 25 members who won on reserved seats in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly took their oath.
Now, elections will be held today for 11 Senate seats, with 25 candidates contesting. The PTI government and opposition will jointly contest against the disgruntled PTI candidates. According to the agreement, six seats will go to the government and five to the opposition, with 145 assembly members eligible to vote in the election.
