Austria Schengen visa 2025: Minimum bank statement and fee details

23 July, 2025 21:22

Many Pakistani citizens face Schengen visa rejections because they fail to show sufficient financial proof, which is one of the main requirements. Incorrect or incomplete bank statements are often the biggest reason for refusal.

If you are planning to visit Austria, a beautiful European country with plenty of tourist attractions, it’s important to prepare your documents properly to avoid disappointment.

Do Pakistanis Need a Visa for Austria?

Yes. Pakistani passport holders must apply for a Type C Schengen visa to visit Austria and other Schengen countries. This visa allows you to stay in Europe for up to 90 days.

In Pakistan, the Austrian Embassy has outsourced visa applications to VFS Global. This means you’ll need to apply and collect your passport through VFS.

Austria Visit Visa Fees in Pakistan

  • Schengen Visa Fee: Rs15,040

  • VFS Service Fee: Rs7,520

Bank Statement Requirement

One of the key documents for your Austria visa application is a valid bank statement to prove you have enough funds for your trip.

  • Provide bank statements for the last 6 months (must include bank’s address and phone number).

  • While there’s no fixed rule for daily expenses, it’s recommended to show at least 100–120 euros per day for your stay.

  • For a 90-day trip, you should have around €9,200 to €10,800 in your account.

  • As of July 23, 1 euro equals Rs334.4, so you’ll need roughly Rs3–4 million for a 3-month stay.

Preparing these documents carefully can improve your chances of getting your visa approved.
