Property Transfer System Now Operational in Private Housing Societies
The Punjab government has successfully launched a biometric-enabled Property Transfer System under its Land Records Management and Information Systems (LRMIS) initiative.
Streamlined & Secure Transactions
This system integrates NADRA biometric verification and banking services to ensure transparency, reduce fraud, and simplify property transfers. According to the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA), the system is now fully operational in 20 private housing societies, providing residents a safer and faster way to transfer property.

As part of the government’s digital reform drive, the service allows users to complete the entire transaction through partner banks and biometric verification. This helps eliminate delays and increases public trust in the real estate process.
Vision for Digital Punjab
Led by the Board of Revenue Punjab, this initiative is part of a broader mission to digitize land records and enhance property rights security across the province. The PLRA, established under the PLRA Act 2017, is working to ensure an accountable and transparent land record system.
List of Participating Societies Coming Soon
The official list of 20 private housing societies where the system has been implemented is yet to be made public. Authorities have assured that it will be released soon for public reference.
