Son Recalls Father’s Heroic Act During Babusar Flash Flood

Asim Fahad, son of Fahad Islam, who died after being swept away in a flash flood at Babusar Top, says that when the flash flood came, we tried to hide under the mountain and our father jumped into the water to save his aunt Mashal Fatima and Abdul Hadi, who were swept away in the flash flood.

A few days ago, a family going for a picnic from Lodhran was swept away in a flash flood at Babusartap while returning from Skardu. Dr. Mashal Fatima and her brother-in-law Fahad Islam were swept away in the flash flood, while Dr. Mashal Fatima’s 3-year-old son Abdul Hadi was also swept away in the flash flood and is still missing.

While talking to the media, family member Dr. Hafeezullah said that there has been no electricity in the hospital for two days, due to which the bodies are being preserved by placing ice blocks. The government should make arrangements to transport the bodies to Lodhran so that burial arrangements can be made.
