Tallal Chaudhary Condemns Terrorist Activity on Digital Platforms, Calls for Global Action

Tallal Chaudhary has expressed serious concerns over terrorist organizations like the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operating freely on digital platforms, calling it a significant threat to global peace.

He emphasized that Pakistan stands on the frontline in the war against terrorism and has sacrificed greatly in this fight. According to Chaudhary, terrorists’ online presence is being used to spread their extremist ideology, which must be immediately curtailed.

Highlighting the role of social media and messaging apps, he stressed the urgent need for effective measures against hateful content and violent elements, particularly on platforms like WhatsApp. He demanded that WhatsApp immediately block all numbers and groups linked to TTP.

Chaudhary urged the introduction of automated systems capable of identifying and swiftly suspending terrorist content. He called upon the international community to stand alongside Pakistan and take practical steps against digital terrorist activities.

He reiterated that Pakistan is fulfilling its responsibilities for global peace and security and expects the world to show similar commitment. He warned that the presence of terrorist organizations on social media could strengthen their influence, making it imperative to stop them.

Pakistan firmly opposes any leniency towards terrorist groups, he added, stressing that the world must understand that online terrorist activities are a dangerous precursor to actual attacks.

Tallal Chaudhary also appealed to international organizations to assist Pakistan in combating the spread of hatred and violence online. He cautioned that providing digital space to terrorists amounts to unintentionally aiding their crimes.

Concluding, Chaudhary affirmed that Pakistan will continue cooperating with the global community based on its security experience and achievements, but insisted that lasting peace cannot be achieved without ending terrorists’ online presence.
