27 July, 2025 21:06

An audit report on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Livestock Department revealed that 80 vehicles had gone missing.

According to received media documents, the audit report states that the Livestock Department did not present records of 80 vehicles during the audit. According to the Excise Department, more than 80 vehicles are registered in the name of DG Livestock, and despite registration, the missing vehicles are not present in the field or offices.

The audit report recommends locating missing government vehicles of the Livestock Department, and the audit report also raises questions about the transparency of the department.

According to sources, the department had purchased more than 200 vehicles for projects, and these were purchased for livestock projects from 2007 to 2021.

Provincial Minister for Livestock Fazal Hakeem said that he has ordered the collection of all vehicles and has issued letters for the recovery of the vehicles.

He said that the Secretary of Livestock has sent letters to all departments in this regard.
