PIA Special Flights for Arbaeen Pilgrims
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced special flights for pilgrims traveling to Iraq for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The flights will start on August 8 and run until August 11 from Pakistan to Najaf. Return flights from Najaf to Pakistan are scheduled between August 18 and 23.
PIA has set the ticket price for these special flights at $675 per passenger. However, many pilgrims have requested lower fares and more flights to meet the increasing demand.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of Pakistani pilgrims travel by road through Iran to reach Najaf. The number of air travelers for Arbaeen is also growing steadily. Officials say the flight schedule and fares may be adjusted soon to better serve the pilgrims.
