President, PM Pay Tribute to Captain Sarwar Shaheed on His 77th Martyrdom Anniversary

The 77th martyrdom anniversary of Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed, the first recipient of Nishan-e-Haider and a valiant hero of the Pakistan Army, is being observed today with deep respect and national pride.

President Asif Ali Zardari, in his message, paid tribute to Captain Sarwar Shaheed by highlighting his supreme sacrifice in the first Kashmir war. He noted that Captain Sarwar laid down his life for the motherland and that the nation takes pride in his courage, perseverance, and great sacrifice. The president emphasized that the security Pakistan enjoys today is the result of the heroic sacrifices made by its martyrs. He further stated that these sacrifices form the foundation of the country’s defense and stability, and that the nation will always remember Captain Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed’s contribution.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, also praised the bravery of Captain Sarwar Shaheed. He acknowledged that Captain Sarwar successfully thwarted the enemy’s attempt to occupy Jammu and Kashmir and embraced martyrdom in the process. The prime minister affirmed that the sacrifices of the martyrs can never be forgotten by the nation.
