CM Maryam Nawaz Flood Relief Package
Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for announcing a relief package of Rs1 million per family for the flood-affected residents of Hafizabad and Pindi Bhattian.
In a letter to CM Maryam, Governor Haider expressed hope that similar relief measures will be announced for the flood-hit areas of Jhelum and Chakwal.
He clarified that his letter should not be given any political meaning, saying, “I appreciate the positive efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and understand her busy schedule.”
The governor also stated that Maryam Nawaz is continuing the legacy of her father, Mian Nawaz Sharif, and is fully committed to serving the people of Punjab. He added that the Punjab and federal governments are working together for the province’s progress and prosperity.
