Pakistan, Iran Urge Immediate Humanitarian Access to Gaza

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi to discuss the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the Foreign Office said on Sunday.

Both leaders expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence and increasing civilian suffering in the besieged Palestinian territory. They stressed the urgent need for immediate humanitarian access to Gaza.

The foreign ministers emphasized the importance of coordinated international efforts to reduce the crisis. Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong and principled support for the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and statehood.

He also expressed hope that the upcoming international conference on Palestine in New York would help build global consensus and lead to meaningful action.

Both sides called for renewed global efforts toward a two-state solution in line with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

The conversation also touched on strengthening bilateral relations, with both ministers discussing the possibility of high-level visits between Pakistan and Iran in the near future.
