From Floods to Gaza: PM Shows Compassionate Leadership

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during a recent federal cabinet meeting, expressed concern over the widespread devastation caused by heavy rains across Pakistan. He highlighted the loss of lives and property in regions like Diamer, Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Sindh, and various hilly areas. The cabinet offered prayers for those who lost their lives in the recent floods.

The Prime Minister also paid tribute to the security forces, recognizing their great sacrifices in the fight against terrorism. He prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fighting terrorism.

In the energy sector, PM Shehbaz Sharif praised the revolutionary reforms and appreciated Energy Minister Awais Leghari and his team’s hard work. He said that the government’s positive discussions with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) had led to significant financial savings for the national treasury. He also commended Field Marshal and his team for their excellent performance.

Speaking about the professional skills of the armed forces, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan’s historic victory against India stunned the world. He also mentioned improvements in the power distribution companies, which have helped reduce losses.

On infrastructure, he expressed happiness over the transformation at Lahore Railway Station and noted that the railway ticketing system has been fully digitized.

PM Shehbaz Sharif urged all ministries to improve their performance further. Regarding Gaza, he strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli aggression, especially against children, saying such cruelty is unprecedented. He added that Pakistan is sending immediate aid to Gaza via Egypt and Jordan and reaffirmed that Pakistan’s stance on the issue is clear and firm.
